In a versatile career, Kara Lindstrom has written as well as designed feature films. Her credits as Production Designer include Den of Thieves (staring Gerard Butler), Lila and Eve (staring Viola Davis) Safe Haven and Dear John (directed by Lasse Halstrom), Polish Wedding, Cold Around the Heart (directed by John Ridley). As Set Decorator, she has contributed to the look of numerous moves, including Marshall (directed by Reginald Hudlin), Renegades (shot in Germany and Croatia), French Kiss (directed by Lawrence Kasdan), Strange Days (directed by Kathryn Bigelow), In the Line of Fire (starring Clint Eastwood), and the Emmy winning Drug Wars (produced by Michael Mann).
Named as one of Variety’s “10 Screenwriters to Watch,” Lindstrom wrote the screenplays for Killing me Softly (directed by Kaige Chen) and A Time for Dancing for which she earned an Emmy nomination. Her novel, Sparkle Life, was published in 2006.
